Join us for some festive fun this holiday season!

Join us for some fun and festive events this season! We’ll be open late for the Parade of Lights on November 16th, so stop in and warm up! Plus, don’t forget to shop local this holiday season and support the small businesses in Morris during the Holiday Stroll Dec 2nd. An extra exciting event this year takes place on December 7th, where we’ll celebrate our artists and raffle off an extra special Christmas tree. Santa’s Helper’s returns again, and you won’t want to miss the chance to have our volunteers help your little one shop for the people in their lives, including child’s budget-friendly items.

HOLIDAY HOURS (Beginning December 2023)
Tuesday – Friday: Noon – 5 pm
Saturday: 10 am – 3 pm

The PRCA is offering an opportunity to own a truly unique tree for the holidays. Decorated in original ornaments created by PRCA artists, the tree will be awarded to a lucky winner. The drawing will take place December 7, although you need not be present to win.
Donations of $5 per ticket are suggested. Tickets may be purchased at the PRCA gallery or from PRCA Board members.  All proceeds will benefit the PRCA.

This activity is funded in part by a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council through a Minnesota State Legislative appropriation.

Call for Artists! Metal Arts Festival

People’s Choice Art Competition with Cash Prizes

The Prairie Renaissance Cultural Alliance is looking for artists to compete in their Metal Arts Festival metal art competition. This year we are encouraging all artists to showcase their art at our Competition and Live Auction. All mediums are welcome if there is some metal component to the artwork. We are looking for sculpture, welded artworks, mixed media, jewelry, 3-dimensional art, fiber art, etc. All sizes accepted. Be as creative and inventive as you wish – push the boundaries of metal art!

How to participate in the Metal Arts Festival

  1. Create an artwork to enter into the Metal Arts Contest. All works of art entered in the Metal Arts Contest are eligible for $600 in cash prizes, to be awarded by audience voting on the day of the festival. All works of art in the contest will be considered donations to the PRCA and will be auctioned off in a live auction following the contest. Proceeds will benefit the PRCA. Every artist who donates an artwork to the PRCA Metal Art Contest also gets a FREE vendor space to
display and /or sell their artwork.
  2. Donated art may be any size, and may be mixed media, but should include some metal materials. (Used and “found” materials are okay.)
  3. Register your artwork by August 25, by emailing prca@prairierenaissance.org. Please include your name, address, phone number, and the approximate dimensions of your piece or pieces of artwork (to help us plan for display), and the value of your artwork. Attach a photo of your piece to your email.
  4. Deliver your artwork to Eastside Park in Morris, MN on Saturday, Sept. 9 th from 9-11 a.m.

Give to the Max Day is November 17, 2022

Every year, supporters like you help make our Give to the Max Day incredibly successful. We hope that you will join us again on November 17th for Give to the Max Day and help us continue to connect our community by supporting local artists and creating spaces to experience the arts in Stevens County.

Give to the Max Day was created in 2009 to launch GiveMN, a collaborative venture led by Minnesota Community Foundation and many other organizations committed to helping make our state a better place. That initial spark touched off an outpouring of generosity — $14 million in 24 hours. Since then, Give to the Max Day has become Minnesota’s annual giving holiday, raising more than $250 million in its first 13 years. Every year, thousands of organizations and individuals generate donations and excitement for Minnesota causes that are working to improve the quality of life for all Minnesotans. Give to the Max Day has become a national model for giving days.

Your donation on Give to the Max Day also may help us receive an additional donation of $1,000. How? Every gift made on GiveMN.org will be entered into an hourly drawing for a $1,000 GiveMN Golden Ticket to be awarded to a nonprofit organization–that could be us! Every little bit counts for us nonprofits, and the bonus drawings GiveMN awards are significant funds that can help us with our programming, operations, and more. We actually won a Golden Ticket in 2020 because a person donated during the Early Giving period leading up to Give to the Max Day, so don’t feel like you have to wait to make your gift!

If you believe in the work our organization does, and are able to contribute anything towards supporting our mission, be sure to mark your calendar and make your gift on November 17 by visiting GiveMN.org and searching for our organization or clicking the button below! Thank you!
