Every year, supporters like you help make our Give to the Max Day incredibly successful. We hope that you will join us again on November 17th for Give to the Max Day and help us continue to connect our community by supporting local artists and creating spaces to experience the arts in Stevens County.
Give to the Max Day was created in 2009 to launch GiveMN, a collaborative venture led by Minnesota Community Foundation and many other organizations committed to helping make our state a better place. That initial spark touched off an outpouring of generosity — $14 million in 24 hours. Since then, Give to the Max Day has become Minnesota’s annual giving holiday, raising more than $250 million in its first 13 years. Every year, thousands of organizations and individuals generate donations and excitement for Minnesota causes that are working to improve the quality of life for all Minnesotans. Give to the Max Day has become a national model for giving days.
Your donation on Give to the Max Day also may help us receive an additional donation of $1,000. How? Every gift made on GiveMN.org will be entered into an hourly drawing for a $1,000 GiveMN Golden Ticket to be awarded to a nonprofit organization–that could be us! Every little bit counts for us nonprofits, and the bonus drawings GiveMN awards are significant funds that can help us with our programming, operations, and more. We actually won a Golden Ticket in 2020 because a person donated during the Early Giving period leading up to Give to the Max Day, so don’t feel like you have to wait to make your gift!

The 22nd Annual Animation Show of Shows features 10 animated shorts (click for trailer!)
This 22nd edition comprises 10 animated films — nine recent , along with one restored classic — which deal with both the anxieties and hopes of a world faced with a seemingly endless series of existential crises. All are inventive, their tone ranges from the whimsical to the profound; their techniques, from stop – motion to hand – drawn to computer – aided.
$4 for general admission, and $2 for seniors and children.

Help us showcase two decades of arts accomplishments and support the artistry of local welders and metal workers!
The PRCA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to connect our community by creating
spaces to experience the arts in Stevens County, including the operation of Prairie Art & Gifts, our gallery located in Morris, MN.
All proceeds from the Metal Arts Festival will benefit the PRCA and its mission.

We’ll provide a financial update of the organization, take nominations and elect board members and officers, and recap the activities and exhibits that have kept us busy.
We appreciate the continued support of our community and members like you who have assisted us with making it to this huge landmark anniversary for a grassroots arts org like us. Cheers to 20 years!

Exhibition Theme: Making Your Place
The theme focuses on art that defines your place and the qualities that distinguish it from other places. The theme can be as broad as your region and its ecology, physical aspects, climate, or particular nature. The theme can be as narrow as your physical space and your unique response to place.
Open to all artists residing in Minnesota, South Dakota, or North Dakota.
Art in all media is eligible, and must be original to the artist.
2D work may not be larger than 3’x3’, 3D work may not be larger than 3’x3’x3’.
Artwork must be exhibition ready, and not weigh more than 50 pounds.
A maximum of three pieces may be submitted per artist.
Please include a short artist’s statement about your response to the theme. This will be posted next to your work.

Entries will be juried by the PRCA Exhibition Committee from the electronic images submitted.
The $100 Best in Show award will be announced during the reception.

Image files must be in .jpg format, a minimum of 300 dpi and, at most, 6 inches on the longest side. The image file name should be in the format: A_titleofpiece.jpg or B_titleofpiece.jpg etc. Abbreviate as needed.

Sales, Shipping, Liability & Insurance
Selected work will remain in the exhibit through the run of the show.
A 25% commission will be charged on all sales.
Your entry grants PRCA permission to photograph your work and use your images for promotional or education purposes only.
All scheduling, shipping costs, return shipping labels, and pick-up charges will be the responsibility of the artist.
Insurance is the responsibility of the artist and the shipper.
PRCA is not liable for any damage or loss occurring in transit or during the run of the exhibition.
