This four day class will be held at the art gallery in Morris 9am-4pm with a break for lunch.Cost for the four days is $95, you will need 3 bowls at a cost of $34. each. This is a special price for these bowls. You will work on three bowls during the class. If interested I will get a supply list to you so you can purchase paints, or I would suggest you use mine alone with the glaze for a nominal fee. You will need to pick up your bowls, sand and have them varnished with an oil base varnish prior to the class. You will end up with three beautiful unique bowls.

The Prairie Renaissance Cultural Alliance will host the 5th Annual Prairie Camp, an arts day camp for kids. It will be held at the Morris Area High School June 9-20.
The Prairie Camp is 10 days of inspired fun. We’ll start with a field trip to the Morris Area Wetlands. Then we’ll read a folk tale from our region. Local musicians, visual artists, teachers and writers will lead workshops that allow kids to let their imaginations soar. Kids will transform recycled materials into sculptures, puppets and paper. They’ll write lyrics and music, paint, dance and play handbells. For brochures and questions call 320-585-5037.

Feb 1 & 2: Lisa Johannes presents a Jewelry Trunk Sale. Friday, Feb 1 from 3:00-5:00 pm and Saturday, Feb 2 from 10:00-12:00am. The sale is here at the PRCA 630 Atlantic Ave. Morris. The last time we saw Lisa Johannes in Morris, she was up on a scaffold, painting a mural on the dome of the Stevens County Historical Museum. Now she comes to our town with her jewelry trunk show! Well known in the upper Midwest for her landscape paintings and her murals, Lisa began making jewelry in the mid-90’s when she owned the Mercantile Art Gallery in downtown Morris. Jewelry is her specialty at this time and her art can be found in the most up-scale shops around. She is represented in the store at the Weisman Art Museum in Minneapolis, MN, the Kohler Art Center at Sheboygan, WI, the Flying Pig at Algoma, WI, Avenue Art in Appleton, WI, Ciucci Shoe Salon in Kohler, WI, the Quarter House Gallery in Cedar Rapids, IA, Zandbros in Fargo, ND, Bead Jam in New London, MN, the River Edge Gallery in Mishicott, WI, and PRCA in Morris, MN. Come to PRCA and visit with Lisa, get her ideas about what looks great and what is “in”, and most of all, view the amazing amount of jewelry that she will have with her for this event.
