Clarice has been rosemaling for 30 years, painting mostly in the
Telemark style until a few years ago when she started studying the Os
style. Recently she took a class from Turid Helle Fatland of Norway who taught her newly developed technique of glazing the bowls instead of the usual solid background. This technique is new to all rosemalers and is very exciting. Not only is the glazing new, but it has a fresh look at the Telemark rosemaling. The main focus of the exhibit will be on the bowls, but will also include Os and Telemark. Stop in to view the rosemaling, visit with the artist and enjoy refreshments.
