Aug 18-21: A class with Clarice Dieter on glazing and rosemaling irregular shaped bowls is set for August 18, 19, 20, 21. In this class you will learn to decorate irregular shaped bowls. The natural shape of the bowl will allow you to think of a new way to glaze in an almost transparent way so the wood shines through and becomes important in the design. This is a unique method, exciting and fun! This four day class will be held at the art gallery in Morris 9am-4pm with a break for lunch.Cost for the four days is $95, you will need 3 bowls at a cost of $34. each. This is a special price for these bowls. You will work on three bowls during the class. If interested I will get a supply list to you so you can purchase paints, or I would suggest you use mine alone with the glaze for a nominal fee. You will need to pick up your bowls, sand and have them varnished with an oil base varnish prior to the class. You will end up with three beautiful unique bowls.
