Fourth Annual Prairie Camp
WHEN: June 11-22, 9:15-12:30 for 6 & 7 year olds, 9:15-3:00 for 8-12 year olds

HOW MUCH?: $150 for 6 & 7 year olds, $200 for 8-12 year olds; $25 off if you register by April 15
This year we begin with a field trip to the Morris Area Wetlands where we’ll get to see both a wetlands and a prairie habitat. That trip and a Native American folk tale will serve as the inspiration for all the activities of the camp.
This year we’ll make wire sculptures and mobiles as well as puppets. We’ll write music and lyrics and create a mini-operetta based on the folk tale. We’ll also paint and dance and tell stories and listen to music. A special treat this year will be a visit from Greg Budig, a former Morris resident, who has written and illustrated a beautiful book about the prairie.
The teachers at the camp include Dorothy Vick, Tina Didreckson, Jen Sommers, Lori Borowski, Michael Strand, Argie Manolis, Athena Kildegaard, and Della Conroy.
